dis/content is a speculative project that reorientates objects and subjects of complaints through contemplative lenses and language to imbue new meanings and perspectives.
The tokens we collect from aspects of our lives that have presupposed our failures, our successes, and our submission to higher orders of systems that decide, dismiss and disempower are not points of departure from our beliefs. These are points of reinvigorations for our thinking and ideas…
Featuring new works from artists who, like us, have experienced the unprotesting rarity of truth and negotiation from expressing dissatisfactions — but through reorientation, move favourably forward towards generative discourse.
An exhibition with Chok Si Xuan, Kavern Tan, Mengju Lin, Nadhirah Khalid and Sarishna Nair, dis/content is curated by Shireen Marican and Moses Tan, and runs from 30 January to 28 February 2021. The exhibition is also an extension of On Rants and Monzoom Zchool as part of Beyond Repair under soft/wall/studs and supported by Proposals for Novel Ways of Being.
